How to claim it

  1. 1Apply for the disabled veteran plate through the motor vehicle agency; the veterans department and the transport department run the plate programme jointly.
  2. 2Check your county before valuing this. Two counties charge $30 per year of registration in local fees, and those are the ones where the exemption is worth real money.
