1. Opt Out of "Sale" or "Sharing" / Targeted Advertising

If we use cookies or pixels for cross-site advertising measurement or retargeting, some states treat that as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out.

What happens when you opt out

  • We will stop using your information for cross-context behavioural advertising where required.
  • You may still see ads, but they may be less relevant.

To opt out, email info@va.org with subject line "Privacy Request", or call +1 870 335 3627.

2. Limit the Use of Sensitive Personal Information

You can ask us to limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the services you request — for example, analysing documents you upload for a tool you chose to use.

What happens when you limit sensitive info

  • We may reduce personalisation, and some features may be limited if they require sensitive data to function.

3. Manage Cookies

You can adjust cookie categories such as analytics and advertising through your browser settings. Some cookies are essential for login and security and cannot be switched off without breaking those features.

4. Submit a Data Rights Request

You can request access, deletion, correction, or a copy of your information.

Email info@va.org with subject line "Privacy Request", or call +1 870 335 3627. We will verify your request to protect you from fraud, and respond within legally required timelines.

5. Universal Opt-Out Signals (GPC)

Some states require businesses to recognise browser-based opt-out signals, often via Global Privacy Control. When we detect a valid signal, we will treat it as an opt-out of targeted advertising, and of "sale/sharing" where applicable.

If you want a one-time setting rather than a per-site request, enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in a supported browser or extension. It applies everywhere that honours it.

6. Communication Preferences (Email, SMS, Calls)
