The thing most people get wrong
Stricter than the DV licence plate, on the same facts
The plate under §320.084 needs a "100-percent disability rating for compensation". This licence needs "100-percent total and permanent". A veteran paid at the 100% rate under TDIU but not rated permanent appears to qualify for the plate and not the licence, on the plain text. No agency source addresses that asymmetry.

Common mistakes that cost people this benefit
- Asking for a "V" designation on your licence. Florida spells the word "Veteran" out in full. The "V" language survives only in a stale 2017 handout.
- Assuming the fee waiver and the Veteran designation are the same request. Ask for both.
