What it's worth: Free replacement licence carrying the designation

  • Free only if you are not conducting another transaction affecting the licence at the same time. Combine it with a renewal or an address change and the §322.21(1)(e) replacement fee applies.

Who is entitled to it

  • You served in the U.S. armed forces.
  • You are a veteran, so the department must add the designation.
  • You are in Florida.

Worth knowingThe statute says the word "must be exhibited" on presentation of the listed documents. This is not discretionary, and the licence carries the word "Veteran" spelled out rather than a "V".
