Respite care provides temporary relief for family caregivers by offering professional care services for veterans. This allows caregivers time to rest, attend to personal needs, and maintain their own well-being.

To qualify for respite care services, veterans and caregivers must meet specific criteria.

Veteran enrolled in VA healthcare system

Family caregiver participating in PCAFC program

Veteran requires continuous supervision or assistance

Caregiver demonstrates need for respite services

Care plan approved by VA clinical team
