The TRICARE Pharmacy Program provides benefits to all TRICARE beneficiaries, including TRICARE for Life beneficiaries who also have Medicare Parts A and B and who are excluded from eligibility for many TRICARE programs. In most cases, the TRICARE Pharmacy Program will be more cost-effective for beneficiaries who are eligible to enroll in Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.
Prescriptions filled at the nearest military treatment facility are free. All other prescriptions will be covered through TRICARE’s partnership with ExpressScripts.
TRICARE Home Delivery Pharmacy prescriptions provide a convenient and cost-effective way to fill long-term or maintenance medications that are not prescribed for acute (immediate) conditions. You can receive 90-day supplies of most generic prescriptions for free, and pay a minimal fee for brand-name medications.
Prescriptions filled at retail pharmacies that are part of the ExpressScripts network will be subject to a small copay.
