Six Months of Case Management to Keep the Housing You Have — Pierce and Kitsap

WDVA's Housing Retention Program gives SIX MONTHS of case management to veterans eligible for VA health care with a qualifying discharge who recently exited homelessness or are AT RISK OF LOSING HOUSING. It runs in PIERCE AND KITSAP COUNTIES. It includes personalised support plans, connection to local resources, mental health and medical referrals, employment and benefit assistance, and MINIMAL FINANCIAL RESOURCES for housing. The exclusion to note: you must NOT be concurrently receiving SSVF or HUD-VASH case management.

  • Your discharge meets the test.
  • Pierce and Kitsap counties.

  2. 2Check whether you are already getting SSVF or HUD-VASH case management; you cannot have both at once.
  3. 3Be clear this is case management with minimal financial help, not a rent subsidy.
  4. 4Ask about the mental health and medical referrals; they are part of the programme.
  5. 5If you are outside Pierce and Kitsap, ask WDVA what covers your county instead.
