Washington school districts issue a high school diploma to a veteran with a qualifying discharge under RCW 73.04.005 who left high school before graduating to serve in WORLD WAR II, THE KOREAN CONFLICT OR THE VIETNAM ERA. The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction adopts the application form and the evidence standard, so a district that has never handled one has a state form to follow. WDVA promotes the programme and is the easiest place to start if a district is unsure.
