CorrectionThe passport is widely described as a seniors' pass. It is both. A veteran qualifies on discharge status alone, with no age condition — so a clerk who asks your age is applying the wrong half of the rule.
Known gapThe parks page states the cost, the lifetime term and the two eligible groups. It does not say whether historic sites are included, whether a passport holder's passengers enter free, or what proof of discharge the clerk requires. Ask the clerk before you make the trip.
