  2. 2Pick the home. There are four: William E. Christoffersen in Salt Lake City, George E. Wahlen in Ogden, Mervyn Sharp Bennion in Payson, and Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins.
  3. 3Confirm the service route that applies to you — service on active duty, or deployment while serving in the reserves.
  4. 4If a spouse or Gold Star parent is applying, price their care separately. The department states the VA does not cover or subsidise it.
