Which document will your appraisal district actually accept?
The Comptroller prescribes Form 50-114 and Form 50-135 for all 254 appraisal districts, so unlike some states the form itself is never the argument. What varies is which VA document a district will accept behind it, and whether a clerk reads §11.131(b) all the way to the end.
More than a third of benefit denials nationally are for missing verification documents. This page exists to stop that happening to you.
How to configure your VA Benefit Summary Letter
This is the Tier 1 document — you can download it yourself in about two minutes, and configured correctly it satisfies most counties. The checkbox configuration is the entire trick, and nobody tells veterans what it is.
Tick: combined service-connected evaluation — Texas districts and TPWD both need the PERCENTAGE on the page
Tick: whether you are service connected
Tick unemployability where it applies to you — this is the box that carries §11.131 for an IU veteran
Tick: military service information
Leave monthly award amount UNCHECKED unless you are proving you are paid at the 100% rate
Configured this way the letter proves rating and IU status and discloses no diagnoses. If a district asks you to prove you receive compensation AT the 100% rate, you may have to include the award amount — ask them whether the unemployability box alone will do first.
Applications that arrive with three or more verification documents are about 20% more likely to be approved. This tracks documents ready, not form fields filled in, because the documents are what decides it.

The emailed PDF includes how to photograph or scan each document so the appraisal district accepts it first time. We help you assemble and hand over your documents — we do not submit them to the appraisal district for you.
Where we stop
State and local benefits are outside VA accreditation, so we help you with those all the way through. Federal VA disability claims are different. For anything touching a VA claim we will assemble your context and hand you off to an accredited County Veteran Service Officer or VSO — we will not advise you on the claim itself, and we will never charge you.
One thing we will never suggest: asking the VA to reopen your file to chase a determination. Any request that reopens a claim can trigger a review. Talk to an accredited veterans service officer first.
