One Licence, Every Town — the Veteran's Statewide Peddler Licence

An honorably discharged New Jersey veteran can hold a peddler licence that is good STATEWIDE and is EXEMPT FROM APPLYING FOR A MUNICIPAL LICENCE. In a state of 564 municipalities, that is the whole value: an ordinary peddler applies town by town. Apply to the county clerk with a WD Form 93 or DD-214, which is forwarded to the state Department of Veterans Affairs for verification. Other municipal ordinance provisions — where and when you may trade — still apply; it is the licensing requirement that is lifted, not the local rules.
