CorrectionVeterans Haven is not detox and not an emergency shelter. Being drug and alcohol free is required at the door, so a veteran still using needs a different service first — and should ask the admissions line which one, rather than waiting.
Worth knowingThe discretion in the admission criteria is stated by the Department itself: a limited number of veterans may be admitted without meeting all of them. That is worth invoking, politely and in writing, if you fail on one test only.
