How to claim it

  2. 2Say what you need at the start. The Department describes services ranging from individual counselling and group counselling through biofeedback to medication monitoring, and where you enter that range shapes who you are booked with.
  3. 3Bring the family into the referral if they are affected. Treatment is explicitly extended to family members affected by the veteran’s condition, so they do not need a separate route in.
  4. 4Ask a local Veterans Service Officer to help with scheduling — the Department names them as the people who assist with appointments as well as with VA claims.
