How to claim it

1Pre-register for the eligibility decision, not for a plot. There are no advance plot assignments, and a gravesite cannot be assigned before it is needed for a burial.
2Send the completed pre-registration form with a copy of the discharge documents, and the marriage certificate where a spouse is involved. Pre-registration is free.
3Plan for one grave, not two. One gravesite is authorised for all eligible members of a family, with burials stacked in the same plot; cremated remains go side by side in it. More than one site is used only where soil conditions or the number of family decedents require it.
4Arrange military honours yourself. The cemetery system does not provide them — the family or their representative must arrange them in advance, though staff will supply contact details for organisations that assist.
5Arrange clergy through the funeral director or the family; the cemetery does not provide clergy, and there is no fee for using the indoor service facility.
6Ring the cemetery to confirm dependent eligibility before assuming it. The cemetery verifies eligibility itself and asks to be contacted directly for specifics.
