  2. 2Do not screen yourself out on discharge. The programme states no discharge-status restriction and covers Active Duty, Guard and Reserve as well as veterans.
  3. 3Bring the family in. Family members are named as eligible in their own right, which matters when the person who needs help is not the one able to make the call.
  4. 4Ask specifically for care coordination if you are caught between systems — the programme’s stated job is coordinating behavioural health services with either the VA or Maryland’s public behavioural health system.
