  2. 2Ask the area agency on aging about the general family caregiver support programme separately. It is not a veteran programme, but an ageing veteran and the person caring for them are inside the population it serves.
  3. 3Ask a county veterans service office what it can arrange locally. County offices vary far more than the state page suggests, and they are the level at which anything veteran-shaped is actually assembled here.
  4. 4Do not spend weeks hunting a state veteran caregiver stipend on the strength of a benefits list. The department that would run one names none.
