Those in favor consider it imperative for immigrants to adapt, adjust and evolve.
Opponents claim memorizing random information doesn’t determine a good citizen.

Posted at 04:08h, 09 SeptemberHaving said that immigrants should have to pass a test to become citizens, (as they do now), voters should too. I’m not talking about Jim Crow guessing the number of peanuts in a jar, but fairly administered, equally provided. Take it once as part of a required high school civics class that every child should be required to take. Once you take it and pass, you never have to take it again. If you don’t pass, you have two more opportunities to pass it before you can vote in your first election, and thereafter, one chance per national election. Something like that…
