A recent study conducted by the Veterans Affairs Health Care System in the United States found that home-based cardiac rehabilitation programs may significantly lower the risk of death for Veterans with cardiovascular disease.
The study, which followed over 1,500 Veterans with heart disease, compared the outcomes of those who received traditional center-based cardiac rehab to those who participated in a home-based program. The results showed that the home-based group had a 24% lower risk of death than the center-based group.
