Despite his insistence that he is planning to run for reelection in 2024, most Democrats now believe one term is enough for Joe Biden.

According to a new poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, just 37% of Democrats support a second term, down from 52% before last year’s midterm elections.

The poll indicates that relatively few U.S. adults give Biden high marks despite his legislative victories and ability to govern. Many respondents believed the 80-year-old’s age was a liability, pointing out his coughing, gait, gaffes, and the possibility that a younger person would be better suited to the world’s most stressful job
