Those who favor increased sales tax to reduce property taxes believe that owning property doesn’t guarantee income to pay taxes. Opponents argue that an increase in sales taxes will lead to low trade and less tax. They do not consider increasing the sales tax to reduce property taxes, as a sustainable model.
