24 Mar What do you think of the VA’s reducing home loan rates for Native American veterans on tribal lands?
During the next two years, financing for homes on federal trust lands will be available at a cheaper interest rate to Native American veterans or veterans married to Native Americans.
On March 23, the Department of Veterans Affairs stated that the interest rate for loans made under the VA Native American Direct Loan (NADL) programme had been reduced from 6% to 2.5%.
According to a press release from John Bell III, executive director of the VA Loan Guaranty Service, “Native American Veterans are now able to buy, build, and improve homes on trust land more affordably.”
According to the release, the rate will be accessible “for no more than 24 months.” The VA and the Borrower must have a Memorandum of Understanding in place.
Do you support the VA’s decision to reduce home loan rates for Native American veterans on tribal lands?’
