What Are Your Expectations for the Next Presidential Election?

The 2024 presidential election will feature real individuals as candidates, not just abstract concepts. The USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll asked Americans about their preferred and disliked qualities in a president, which may serve as guidance or warning signs for those considering or planning to run for office.

A job advertisement for the presidency could specify: “Seeking a 51-65-year-old governor with business acumen and a willingness to collaborate. Military background desirable.” However, no candidate has emerged as an ideal choice for the 2024 race, and incumbent President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump face opposition from most poll respondents.

The survey, which polled 1,000 registered voters by landline and cellphone on Dec. 7-11, has a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points. Do you agree with this direction?

Today is the day. Now is the moment. Vote for change.
