According to the US National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, the US would respond decisively if Russia used nuclear weapons in its war against Ukraine.

The remark came out as Vladimir Putin made a thinly veiled nuclear threat to Ukraine last Wednesday.

Though the nature of the consequences are not precisely clear, Sullivan did state that the exact nature of predicted consequences has been spelled out to Moscow secretly.

In the United Nations General Assembly, US President Biden also accused Russia of making nuclear threats against Europe.

After suffering a massive setback on the battlefield, Putin remarked that Russia would be protected using “all available means.” He also backed the statement by saying, “This is not a bluff.”
