14 Oct There was more to Trump’s day than being subpoenaed by the committee on January 6
On Thursday, Donald Trump had a bad day.
A House committee on January 6 subpoenaed him after laying bare his depraved plans to overthrow the 2020 election and his dereliction of duty. However, the former president’s troubles did not end there. To conclude its last hearing for the midterm elections, the committee made a dramatic, but probably futile, attempt to get Trump to testify. The article also documented how the ex-President tried to avoid publicly admitting that he lost in 2020 while arguing that his understanding of his defeat made his subsequent actions even more horrific.
Despite Trump’s record of defying investigation storms and confounding predictions of his imminent demise by launching his presidential campaign in 2015, there’s a sense that his legal troubles are getting worse.
