“Donald Trump announced his intention to pull the United States out of the Paris Climate Agreement in June 2017 declaring it weakens American industries and doesn’t do much for the environment. American businesses are increasingly feeling smothered by the volume, scope, and cost of new environmental regulations.
Proponents of the climate agreement believe that the United States need to have strict policies to ensure that American industries do not contribute to the increasing danger of climate change and global warming. Opponents argue that it unfairly penalizes U.S. energy companies and imposes more relaxed restrictions on China and India who are leading the world in carbon emissions.
