“Megamergers happen through the acquisition, merger, consolidation or combination of two existing corporations. It is usually considered a threat, as the corporation maintain control over a massive chunk of market share in its industry. It gives them exclusive power, which eventually suffocates the competitors.
But it has a bright side too. These mergers fuel more research and development, allowing new technology to improve production, reduce cost and minimize environmental hazards.
