Sanctuary cities limit their cooperation with the government’s effort to implement immigration law.
Opponents consider it a grave concern claiming criminal aliens continue to commit crimes perceiving that the state will shield them from federal immigration officers.
They claim sanctuary policies defy federal laws.
Those in favor believe such policies help forge good relationships between undocumented immigrants and law enforcement and is backed by Tenth Amendment.
