05 Jan Should pension payments be increased for retired government workers?
“President Trump claims he is working to increase retirement security for Americans.
A government pension is a fund into which regular sums of money is added during the employment period. When an employee retires, he/she receives monthly payments from the fund to support themselves.
Those in favor of increased pension payment believe its meagre, considering growing inflation. Opponents think that due to increased life expectancy, there is already a funding shortfall for pensioners and any further increase can be catastrophic.
What are your thoughts? Should pension payments be increased for retired government workers?
