Currently, state and local police provide fingerprints of suspects to federal immigration authorities and hand over individuals presumed to be in the country illegally.
The federal government is responsible for enforcing immigration laws, but it can also delegate some immigration-control duties to state and local law enforcement. However, the degree to which local officials are obliged to cooperate with federal authorities is a subject of intense debate.

Posted at 23:19h, 25 OctoberCan’t ANY of you see that this question is absolutely mute and totally meaningless because that has ALWAYS BEEN THE LAW ANYWAY. I guess there’s no honest lawyers out there. I admit I had to laugh as soon as I wrote that, “no honest lawyers” Ha! I think we’re ALL kind of united on that one, or at least have to admit it is at least a little bit funny. Anyway, this is just exactly like most of these totally mute, meaningless issues, because, that is exactly the way the law already is, everywhere in America right now anyway! Why would you not already know that? See, it benefits trump to make up this horrible enemy . Of course because then he can be this “Good Man” who’s just like all of the “other good people in America”, as though ALL he wants to do is fix up America and save you all from this mean, lying terrible enemy who HE HIMSELF HAS CHOSEN ALL OF THE MILLIONS OF DEMOCRATS TO BE. I’M SO sorry you can’t see it that way. You say he hasn’t divided the country, but just think about it. We have ALWAYS had MILLIONS of Democrats and MILLIONS of Republicans, yet, we have never been as totally frighteningly horribly divided as we are right now. Democrats have been here for years. Republicans have been here for years. Sure there’s always been RIF’s and tiffs. However it hasn’t ever been anywhere near this bad in my lifetime anyway, and I remember watching the whole Nixon impeachment on TV, and we all paid a lot of good attention to it because we really didn’t have a lot of other channels back then and it was on all three of our channels the whole time anyway. Everyone knew that everyone was entitled to their own opinions. Yes, The Republican President was being impeached, but, I don’t think it ever even crossed the minds of most of us to fight over it, especially not at all this bad anyway. Nixon handled his impeachment process like a man. He was well aware that anyone always has the right to bring an impeachment trial against any President who was charged with a crime. That is part of the reason why we ALL ALWAYS SAID, WITH CONFIDENCE, THAT THIS WAS A FREE COUNTRY. Guess what, we ALL KNEW, THAT THAT FACT WAS THE GREATEST REASON OF ALL THAT EVERYONE, DEMOCRATS, REPUBLICANS, IDEPENDENTS, AND EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE WHOLE WORLD KNEW WITHOUT ANY DOUBTS, THAT NOBODY, BUT NOBODY WAS ABOVE THE LAW, NOT EVEN THE PRESIDENT, AND THIS COUNTRY WAS THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WHOLE WORLD THAT COULD MAKE THAT CLAIM!!! AND you can but your bippy that we ALL more proud of that than you could ever imagine. People have forgotten or maybe just never learned just HOW IMPORTANT that concept and that TRUTH WAS – TO ALL OF US! There was never any division along party lines or anything else about that fact. Any time any President was being impeached, no matter who they Were, they didn’t try to just wiggle out. They stood up to face it head on like ANYONE WHO’S EVER SERVED IN OUR B BELOVED ARMED FORCES automatically knows that that’s the way a real man should act. Whether they were guilty or not didn’t have anything to do with it. It’s a matter of honor. The most important thing is that you as the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, THE HIGHEST OFFICE ANYONE COULD HOLD IN ALL OF THE WHOLE WORLD, HAVE A responsibility to set an example for the WHOLE WORLD TO SEE. TO STAND UP AN SAY,. “I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE. I WILL WILLINGLY PUT MY FAITH IN OUR GREAT AMERICAN JUSTICE SYSTEM, PERIOD. IF ANY AMERICAN PRESIDENT ACTS ANY WAY OTHER THAN THAT, they probably never served in the American Military Armed forces, And more importantly they don’t deserve to be acting in OUR BEHALF, AS THE PRESIDENT OF THESE GREAT STATES OF AMERICA.

Posted at 19:29h, 18 Octoberillegal is what it is and its not obeying the law of the land my wife came from berlin germany sixty years-ago and went to the procedure that made her an american citizen why people think that they can jump a fence and do as they please is right im sorry come in the right way or dont come in at all.these weak minded politicians that we have in office today are needing different employment.they dont seem to want to do the law as it was set up.Im for out president because he is doing the right thing

Posted at 22:05h, 04 Octoberthis poll stinks, the only thing I would change is all the idiots that are greedy and have done nothing to help our country or its economy and rather nit pick and fight with trump and rabble rouse and try to start wars and do nothing to help trump fix our economy and take care of americans needs in this country, so far he has done a better job at helping to fix our economy then all the prior politicians that got us into a mess in the first place, so I am sick of hearing make change , when not one of you make change for the better, so again I say THIS POLL SUCKS, and shame on you for making it confusing about what you mean by change
