Is Army’s New Pay & HR System Helpful?

The Army finally released its long-awaited new human resources platform on Tuesday after spending more than $500 million and experiencing years of delays in developing it.

According to a spokeswoman, the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army, or IPPS-A, is operational throughout the entire army. However, some soldiers may be having connectivity problems or other technical difficulties. Soldiers are urged to verify their personnel files for inconsistencies or missing information, as some records might not be updated appropriately.

The creation of IPPS-A has taken almost ten years and cost close to $600 million. The system, which attempts to update the Army’s outdated web infrastructure, compiles important personnel details for soldiers and their units to access.

Today is the day. Now is the moment. Vote for change.
