“Being a military and industry superpower demands a lot of responsibilities. The U.S need to ensure peace in the Middle East. At the same time, we are in a trade war with China. NATO looks up to us, and the United Nations requires regular funding. Looking at the public trending we can undoubtedly say that Americans recognize that we must play an important global role, but we are also tired of shouldering a lot of burdens and concerned about the costs.
