“The opportunities for trade and travel with Cuba was opened by Obama’s regulatory reforms. Increased commercial and tourism activity has been recorded since then.
President Donald Trump has repeatedly hinted that if he is unable to get a better deal, he might curb the existing one. “All of the concessions that Barack Obama has granted the Castro regime were done with executive order, which means the next president can reverse them,” Trump said in 2016. So far Trump did not roll back Obama’s other regulatory reforms expanding travel and business opportunities or impose any other restrictions on Cuban American family travel and remittances.
