26 Jan Do you support a universal basic income program?
“Universal basic income program is being discussed widely. Critics believe that it might make people passive, which will lead to infinite poverty. People will get used to living on a limited income and will lack the drive to achieve. Proponents believe that it will encourage creativity and entrepreneurship, as this system provides financial freedom.
What do you think will happen? Especially considering the advancement of robotics and artificial intelligence, will we struggle with fewer jobs? Can this system make a difference; or it will instead cause more damage?

Posted at 15:55h, 21 JuneYes I support this, I am winding down in my life. I can not physically perform some of the jobs I use to do when I was younger. I’m 61 and the pandemic left me jobless. Most jobs I look at require you to lift upwards of 50lbs and that is in retail. I just can’t do that anymore or sit for long periods on a phone without being penalized for having to use a rest room. In my case I ran a loan store. I want to work from home but employers are forcing people back to the work place. Which is silly if they can do the work from home, it saves gas, time and money. I am for UBI, I want to retire but will have to work for at least 8 months and retire early, then possible find a part time job.
