“Single-payer healthcare is a practice where every citizen funds the government to implement core healthcare services for all citizens. The government can choose to provide the care themselves or can appoint a private healthcare provider to do so. In a single-payer system, every resident gets the benefit of healthcare irrespective of age, income or existing conditions. Many countries like the U.K., Canada, Israel, France, and Russia follow a single-payer healthcare system.
