11 Jan Do Americans want Inflation, cooperation and investigation? What Should Congress deliver and what not?
Despite the usual calls for bipartisanship from most Americans, Inflation remains a concern for Americans across the political spectrum. In addition, we see a split among Republicans on how to utilize their majority through cooperation or investigation and the impact of “MAGA” Republicans. According to big bipartisan majorities, Congress must reduce crime, address Inflation, and protect Social Security and Medicare.
Many Americans are unaware of or do not have an opinion about congressional leaders, even those who have served for a long time or are popular among partisans. The outgoing speaker, Nancy Pelosi, is very popular with Democrats and unpopular with Republicans, while a quarter of Americans hold neither stance. Four in 10 have no view on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
