03 Nov Biden’s bad numbers get better & Trump’s bad numbers get worse
Voters reject Biden’s bid for a second term by 64%-26%.
Even though those results are not impressive, they are an improvement from the summer when 69%-22% of those surveyed did not support him. Among Democrats, Biden’s standing has significantly improved. Now, 45%-43% want him to run. According to the July poll, only 35% of Democrats favored his candidacy; 50% opposed it. Although Trump is still more popular within his party than Biden, his standing among Republicans has dropped. Trump is favored by 56% to 39% of GOP voters. In July, Republicans supported another race by 60%-34%, a decline of a few points from now. According to the new poll, the president has a favorable-unfavorable rating of 45%-51%. Compared with Trump’s rating of 35%-58%, that 6-point deficit does not seem so stark. Alternatively, compare the president’s favorable rating with those of the Supreme Court, 41%, and Congress, 27%.
