29 Sep Biden. Approves $1.1 billion more in military aid to Ukraine; Russia denies Nord Stream sabotage allegations
Sham referendums were held in four parts of Ukraine under Russian occupation. The results have been released, showing a resounding majority voted to join Russia. Many irregular voting practices have been reported during the referendums, making them widely perceived as rigged. Even though Russia and Europe admit sabotage is likely to cause the damage, the finger of blame is firmly pointed at Moscow – which has not directly responded.
Additionally, the Biden administration announced Wednesday that it would provide Ukraine with $1.1 billion in security assistance. Four Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine held referendums following the announcement of the 22nd installment of aid. While the White House said it would never recognize the results of the “sham referendum,” it continued to assist Kyiv.
