3 Islamic Militants Eliminated In Latest US Strikes In Syria

According to the US military, a US helicopter strike on a government-controlled area in Syria killed a senior Islamic militant hiding in that area. A separate airstrike also eliminated two more senior militants on Thursday.

The Thursday attack is being considered as the first operation against the group loyal to the president, Bashar al-Assad. The US military’s command stated that the primary target was Rakkan Wahid al-Shammri, an Islamic who facilitated weapon and fighter smuggling. The command unit also said he was eliminated in the strike, along with his associate being wounded. The US forces are retaining two more associates.

Lastly, no US forces were injured, harmed or killed during the operation. Besides this, no civilians were wounded or killed. Any loss to the American military equipment was also not reported.
