Texas Tricare Issues Temporary Prescription Refill Waivers

Providing benefits to military families is always a top priority for the Department of Defense. A total of 9.6 million people receive health services from them, including uniformed personnel, retired military personnel, and their families.

The Defense Health Agency announced recently that Tricare beneficiaries in Texas might receive emergency prescription refills. This health insurance plan will cover all medical expenses for army officials and their families.

Veterans, their dependents, and some survivors can choose from several Tricare plans.

With TRICARE Prime, most family members can save on deductibles and cost-sharing.

TRICARE offers three Primary Coverage Options

Tricare Prime Members of the National Guard, Reserves and active duty military have access to TRICARE Prime. They can enroll their family members as well.

TRICARE Standard is a health insurance program that assists with copayments and deductibles. This health care plan automatically enrolls all military families, although patients must submit claims to receive coverage for medical care treatment.

TRICARE Extra provides military families with health care from physicians within the preferred networks. With this healthcare program, there is no enrollment or annual fee.
