National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV)

The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization run by a board of directors consisting of 13 members. It is the technical and resource assistance center for institutions that provide supportive housing, emergency management, health services and food, assistance in job training and placement, case management support and legal aid to thousands of homeless veterans annually. These institutions are a network of community-based service providers in sectors of Federal government and State agencies.

The NCHV also acts as the major intermediary between Congress, the Executive branch agencies and the nation’s caregivers who collectively have a duty in ensuring that NCHV succeeds in its work. The charitable organization has supported the strengthening and increase of funding to almost all homeless veterans’ aid programs available today. NCHV offers information and guidance on program development, governance, administration and funding to all homeless veteran service providers under the award of a technical assistance grant by Veterans Affairs.
