Greenland acquisition by the US: How far it could lead to the nation’s victory?

Acquiring the Greenland has been the long-time dream of America and China. The two strong countries have a keen eye on the geographic location for various reasons. Its geopolitical importance indicates the first and foremost.

President Trump himself makes some notable considerations via the series of tweets and overtime via several official public gatherings.

The attraction is – Greenland’s largest economic drivers are fishing and tourism. Still, the island has brought rising interest due to its enormous natural resources, including zinc, coal, copper, iron ore and rare minerals. There have been expeditions to evaluate the extent of the nation’s resources, but the precise quantity is unexplored.

Moreover, Greenland’s strategic value is connected tightly to new North Atlantic shipping lanes beginning up due to melting polar ice caps. The new lanes have dramatically decreased maritime trade travel times, which generally includes traveling through the Panama or Suez canals to circumnavigate the world. This means Tourism is another big reason for the acquisition.

Well, On the contrary Greenland has denied all the acquisition proposals,

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has called the notion “absurd.”

Greenland is not for sale. Greenland is not Danish. Greenland belongs to Greenland. I strongly hope that this is not meant seriously,” She further added.

Also, apart from the political cross over among two countries, opponents of this wish critics that something is lurking beneath Greenland’s icy surface that Trump may want to know about: toxic nuclear waste, leftover from the Cold War that may be revealed by climate change that is melting ice at a rapid rate.

What’s more?

Well, the United States may owe Denmark — the country Trump would presumably have to make a deal with to buy Greenland — money to pay for the environmental cleanup.

What should and should not be done can get a clear picture of your valuable votes.

Let’s hear out your opinion.
