CBD Oil Veterans Discount

CBD Oil Veterans Discount

Veteran’s CBD oil discounts on a large scale. You can save up to 60% on CBD oil. With CBD Oil, you can treat PTSD, anxiety, pain, service-connected disabilities, and other symptoms. THC and CBD are compounds in cannabis, but CBD does not produce intoxicating effects like THC.

Several companies offer veterans discounts or free products on CBD Oil or assistance programs.

Is CBD Oil Good for Veterans?

Veterans can benefit from CBD oil in many ways, as around 20% of veterans who fought in the middle east suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In 2017, veterans committed suicide at a rate of twenty per day, according to the Veterans Association. PTSD and other mental health issues cause some veterans to struggle to adjust to everyday life, leading them to walk the streets, become drug addicts, or even commit suicide.

Several studies suggest that many deaths result from veterans being overprescribed opioids and other medications. Almost all veterans are suffering from chronic pain related to their combat experiences. Chronic pain is typically treated with opioid medications, associated with side effects including stress, anxiety, mood swings, and sleep problems.

CBD may also be of even more significant benefit to active military members in combat. CBD use while on active duty may decrease the development of PTSD and severe anxiety before it’s too late. However, no evidence explicitly supports this. Therefore, CBD oils or other products should be used immediately when active-duty soldiers feel anxious or are suffering from PTSD so that it will reduce their symptoms and they’ll feel less depressed or anxious. CBD products can prevent severe anxiety and PTSD from developing if used early enough.

Free CBD Oil for Veterans

The legal hurdles associated with CBD and medical marijuana continue to frustrate veterans like Donnelly, even as bipartisan support for legalizing the drug grows.

VA will not accept applications from veterans who use CBD, even if they live in a state with a medical marijuana program that is active and legal. Veterans will still receive their disability payments if they use marijuana, according to the V.A.

At present, the V.A. maintains that marijuana use will not disqualify veterans from receiving their disability payments.

Donnelly hopes to change that soon. Additionally, The CBD Path has linked to various educational information on the site besides reaching out to veteran organizations to get the word out about CBD.

Veterinarians are encouraged to use CBD and medical cannabis where legal.

There is a high rate of chronic pain and mental illness among veterans. Cannabis and CBD should be studied more to treat those injuries, Horr said.

As the V.A. continues to explore how CBD might be beneficial, Donnelly and his team at The CBD Path are hopeful that, eventually, the V.A. will catch up with what many veterans already know.

Can You Get CBD Oil from the V.A.?

Marijuana is legal in several states in the U.S. for medical and recreational purposes. In federal law, marijuana is classified as a Schedule One controlled substance, and as a result, it is illegal.

According to federal law, the Department of Veterans Affairs must follow all marijuana laws. Veterans are not allowed to be recommended marijuana as long as it is classified as a Schedule drug by the Food and Drug Administration.

V.A. care and services do not differ if veterans participate in state marijuana programs. Veterans’ care providers can discuss marijuana use during a comprehensive care plan and adjust treatment plans as needed.

The veteran should know these things about marijuana and the VA:

  • Marijuana use will not prevent veterans from receiving V.A. benefits.
  • V.A. providers encourage veterans to discuss marijuana use with them.
  • To prepare treatment plans for Veterans, VA health care providers will record marijuana use in their medical records.
  •  This information is protected in the same manner as all clinical information under the laws and regulations governing patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • It is also possible that V.A. clinicians will not recommend medical marijuana.
  • Clinicians at the V.A. may only prescribe medications that the Federal Drug Administration has approved for medical use. Presently, most products containing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD), or other cannabinoids are not authorized by the FDA for these purposes.
  • Veteran patients may not obtain the paperwork/forms required to participate in state-licensed marijuana programs from V.A. clinicians.
  • V.A. pharmacies cannot fill medical marijuana prescriptions.
  • The V.A will not pay any prescription for medical marijuana.
  • Under regulatory approval, V.A. scientists may research marijuana’s benefits and risks, as well as its potential for abuse.
  • Medical centers, locations, and grounds of the V.A. prohibit the use and possession of marijuana. V.A. grounds are governed by federal law, not state law.
  • Veterans who are V.A. employees are subject to drug testing under the terms of employment.

What to Look for in CBD Oil

Consider these factors when buying CBD oil.

A Certificate of Analysis (COA)

The COA details the compounds found in a CBD product. COAs are often found on a company’s website. If not, you may request a copy from the company.

Consider it a red flag when a company doesn’t have a COA or won’t send you one. In the best-case scenario, it indicates the company isn’t transparent. In the worst case, the company isn’t testing the safety or validity of its products, or it received results that it didn’t want to publish.

Steven Phan, founder of the CBD dispensary Come Back Daily in New York City, says reliable certificates should include three panels:

  • The cannabinoid analysis indicates the weight and concentration of cannabinoids in the product.
  • The heavy metals analysis shows how much cadmium, lead, arsenic, mercury, and arsenic are. Prolonged or high exposure to heavy metals can cause severe health problems, including kidney damage. Any concentration of cadmium, lead, and mercury higher than 0.001 mg/mL would be considered problematic.
  • The pesticides analysis shows the amounts of substances used to protect plants during the farming process. When exposed to pesticides, the immune system may be compromised, hormones disrupted, and the liver damaged. The exposure of children to pesticides may also cause cancer and congenital disabilities.

There are dozens of pesticide chemicals in agriculture, but some chemical levels to avoid include 40 parts per million (ppm) of cypermethrin and 7 parts per million (ppm) of ethylene oxide.Phan insists that the clearest sign of a company not being transparent with its customers is having a cannabinoid panel.

The COA may also contain contents such as terpenes (organic compounds associated with cannabis aromas), mycotoxins (mold toxins) and residual solvents (volatile organic chemicals).

Third-Party Testing

Another critical aspect of a COA and a company’s trustworthiness is using a third-party laboratory to test the product. The results from third-party testing are more likely to be unbiased and accurate. Ensure the third-party lab is also reputable and qualified by researching it.

A Short, U.S.-Grown Ingredient List

The majority of “broad-spectrum CBD” and “full-spectrum CBD” products, which include small traces of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), don’t contain pure CBD oil (called CBD isolate). A mutual enhancement occurs when several cannabinoids are present together, called the “entourage effect,” which can increase the product’s overall wellness benefits.

In addition to limonene (for its citrusy, sweet and tart taste), pinene (for its piney taste) and sabinene (for its woody, citrusy, and spicy flavor), there are many other terpenes.

CBD oil is generally mixed with inert carrier oil, and Medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil is the most popular carrier oil. Besides being easily digestible, MCT oil also has anti-inflammatory properties that boost its overall wellness benefits. Furthermore, you can mix CBD oil with other oils, such as almond, sunflower, olive and vegetable oils, so that you can find the one that’s right for you.

Organic, Non-GMO, Vegan and Gluten-Free

There are no synthetic chemicals in organic CBD oil, such as pesticides, and organic CBD oil contains no synthetic chemicals, such as pesticides. CBD companies may not offer USDA Certified Organic products, and some may claim that certain ingredients are organic when the full effect is not. CBD companies can obtain USDA Organic certification through their websites.

Non-GMO CBD oil is derived from hemp plants that have not been genetically modified. The Non-GMO Project, a nonprofit organization, verifies the non-GMO (genetically modified organism) label. CBD products claim to be non-GMO, but there is no official confirmation. Ask about the origin of their hemp plants for more information.

Vegan CBD oil is easy to find since CBD is derived from the hemp plant, and no animal products are used to extract the oils or create tinctures. However, there are a few complications when CBD oil is incorporated into products like edibles, which may contain dairy or gelatin.

Gluten-free CBD oil

Hemp plants are grown around other crops containing gluten, making it likely that some hemp plants contain gluten. Gummies are more likely to contain gluten than tinctures, capsules, and topical products. Verify the ingredients list and the sourcing information of any CBD product you plan to purchase if you have a gluten allergy.
