What is a DS Logon?

The VA websites, such as eBenefits, and DoD, use DS Logon to authenticate identity. DS Logon is a secure identity form (username and password). Service members and veterans are eligible for DS Logon if they are registered in DEERS, and it is valid for the life of the service member or veteran. Your first and last name and a few numbers (to make it unique) will be used for your DS Logon username. Passwords must meet the terms of password guidelines. Passwords expire every 150 days.
