Once enrolled for medical care, do I need to enroll each year?

Once you have enrolled, your enrollment must be renewed annually. However, some veterans are automatically renewed without any action on their part. Veterans who are not receiving monthly compensation from VA should complete a yearly financial report, called the Means Test. Once the Means Test has been completed, VA will be able to place you in the appropriate Priority Group to determine your copayments. In addition, your local VA office will be reimbursed by VA for any health services you have received. We are more than happy to provide you with the forms. For assistance, please contact your local VA facility Enrollments Office.
