For the loan termination date for a deed-in-lieu, can we use the date it was signed and sent for recording or do we need to report it after we receive recording information? When does the 15 days start; from the recorded date or the date recording info is received? The deed-in-lieu’s 15 days start from the date when the deed is recorded. To comply with the 15 day rule, you should ask your attorney to get the recording information as soon as the deed is recorded.
