Can the new VA mission statement and recognition for veterans of the Vietnam War protect themselves from scams?

The department’s 1959 mission statement was revealed in an upgraded form. To carry out President Lincoln’s promise to provide for those who have served in our country’s military, as well as their families, carers, and survivors. To better reflect the current veteran population, this mission statement modifies Lincoln’s original quote’s references to male veterans. It also emphasizes that because of their connections to the soldier, survivors, dependents, and carers now have some access to some VA benefits. Do you believe that the new VA mission statement and recognition for veterans of the Vietnam War can provide adequate protection against scams for veterans and their families?
