A State Veterans Home is a home for veterans who are disabled by age, disease, or otherwise and are incapable of earning a living. Such kinds of homes are usually approved by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. State homes include facilities for domiciliary nursing home care, and/or adult day health care. Hospital care may be included when provided in conjunction with domiciliary or nursing home care. A state home may also provide care to veteran related family members. To find out more, please contact your local VA medical center.
