Not really. The CIP (Combat-related Injury Rehabilitation Pay Program) has been replaced by PAC (Pay and Allowances Continuation) program since May 15, 2008. The PAC program is not a part of TSGLI. The monthly CIP Program installments of $430 used to be finished when a Service-member received a TSGLI installment. The new PAC Program has no such constraint. The Service members incentive bonuses or same kind of benefits, and also the incidental portion of the short-term duty allowance for combat-zone deployed members can keep continue for one year after taking the primary medical care for treating injuries or wounds that happened while having a combat operation, or while staying in a firing area by the enemy, or while facing a firing event.
