Can I have Medicare benefits and still receive health care services at VA?

Yes. The health care benefits offered by the VA primarily depends upon annual Congressional appropriations. Veterans are encouraged to retain any healthcare coverage benefits they already have, particularly those members enrolled in lower priority groups and Veterans who have private health care insurance or are federally funded through Medicare, TRICARE, etc. in addition to VA benefits.
